00:00.000 --> 00:04.000
Global Geography and the UAE.

00:04.000 --> 00:06.000
High Explores.

00:06.000 --> 00:08.000
Our world has seven continents.

00:08.000 --> 00:12.000
Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America,

00:12.000 --> 00:14.000
Antarctica, and Australia.

00:14.000 --> 00:18.000
We're learning about the UAE, a country in Asia.

00:18.000 --> 00:20.000
Have you ever heard of a peninsula?

00:20.000 --> 00:24.000
A peninsula is land almost surrounded by water,

00:24.000 --> 00:26.000
but still connected to the mainland.

00:26.000 --> 00:29.000
The UAE sits on the Arabian Peninsula,

00:29.000 --> 00:31.000
one of the most famous in the world.

00:31.000 --> 00:33.000
Amazing, right?

00:33.000 --> 00:37.000
Let's take a closer look at the UAE's neighbors.

00:37.000 --> 00:40.000
The UAE is surrounded by several countries,

00:40.000 --> 00:42.000
Saudi Arabia to the west and south,

00:42.000 --> 00:44.000
Oman to the east,

00:44.000 --> 00:49.000
and Qatar and Iran across the Arabian Gulf to the north.

00:49.000 --> 00:53.000
Its strategic location has made it a key center for trade,

00:53.000 --> 00:57.000
travel, and cultural exchange for many centuries.

00:58.000 --> 01:01.000
Let's look at how other places are unique.

01:01.000 --> 01:05.000
The UAE is known for its vast deserts, long coastlines,

01:05.000 --> 01:08.000
and modern landmarks like the Burj Khalifa,

01:08.000 --> 01:11.000
but Brazil has lush rainforests,

01:11.000 --> 01:15.000
and Switzerland is known for snowy Alps mountains.

01:15.000 --> 01:20.000
Every country's geography shapes how people live and what they do.

01:20.000 --> 01:24.000
Countries depend on each other for trade, knowledge, and support.

01:25.000 --> 01:28.000
This is called global interdependence.

01:28.000 --> 01:32.000
They work together to solve problems like protecting the environment

01:32.000 --> 01:34.000
and promoting peace.

01:34.000 --> 01:36.000
Organizations like the United Nations

01:36.000 --> 01:38.000
and the World Trade Organization

01:38.000 --> 01:41.000
help make this cooperation possible.

01:41.000 --> 01:46.000
The United Arab Emirates plays an important role in global cooperation.

01:46.000 --> 01:50.000
It has hosted major events like CUP28

01:50.000 --> 01:54.000
to fight climate change and Expo 2020 Dubai

01:54.000 --> 01:57.000
to share ideas and innovations with the world.

01:57.000 --> 02:00.000
The world is full of amazing diversity

02:00.000 --> 02:03.000
and every country, including the UAE,

02:03.000 --> 02:05.000
contributes something special.

02:05.000 --> 02:09.000
Keep exploring and you'll discover how we're all connected.
