00:00.000 --> 00:03.000
What is global citizenship?

00:03.000 --> 00:05.000
Hello, everyone.

00:05.000 --> 00:08.000
Did you know that all of us are global citizens?

00:08.000 --> 00:11.000
Think of the Earth as one big family,

00:11.000 --> 00:15.000
and all of us its members or citizens of this global family.

00:15.000 --> 00:19.000
What each one of us does impacts everyone.

00:19.000 --> 00:23.000
Let's understand how global citizens help each other.

00:23.000 --> 00:25.000
When people from different nations work together,

00:25.000 --> 00:28.000
it is called global cooperation.

00:28.000 --> 00:31.000
In 2020, during a global health crisis,

00:31.000 --> 00:34.000
people worldwide worked together to find solutions,

00:34.000 --> 00:39.000
showing how global cooperation can tackle big challenges.

00:39.000 --> 00:42.000
Similarly, countries are addressing issues like climate change,

00:42.000 --> 00:46.000
by planting trees, and collaborating through organizations

00:46.000 --> 00:51.000
like the United Nations to support those in need during crises.

00:51.000 --> 00:53.000
While all of these are big problems,

00:53.000 --> 00:57.000
you too play an important part in making the world a better place.

00:57.000 --> 01:00.000
Let's understand how can you help?

01:00.000 --> 01:03.000
Every time you save water or recycle,

01:03.000 --> 01:05.000
you're practicing in global citizenship.

01:05.000 --> 01:11.000
Small actions like reducing waste and being kind can have a big impact.

01:11.000 --> 01:13.000
The UAE shows global citizenship

01:13.000 --> 01:17.000
by providing humanitarian aid through the Emirates Red Crescent,

01:17.000 --> 01:23.000
helping people affected by wars or natural disasters around the world.

01:23.000 --> 01:26.000
Unity, respect, and cultural understanding

01:26.000 --> 01:29.000
are key to global citizenship.

01:29.000 --> 01:32.000
The UAE fosters these values through programs

01:32.000 --> 01:34.000
like the Watt and Elimirat Foundation,

01:34.000 --> 01:36.000
connecting young people globally

01:36.000 --> 01:38.000
and promoting respect for diverse traditions

01:38.000 --> 01:42.000
as opportunities to learn and grow.

01:42.000 --> 01:45.000
Being a global citizen means caring for Earth,

01:45.000 --> 01:49.000
respecting others, and working together.

01:49.000 --> 01:53.000
Let's make an effort to practice global citizenship every day.
