00:00.000 --> 00:02.500
Global Geography and Saudi Arabia.

00:04.500 --> 00:06.000
Hi, explorers.

00:06.500 --> 00:08.500
Our world has seven continents.

00:09.000 --> 00:15.000
Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Antarctica and Australia.

00:15.500 --> 00:18.500
We're learning about Saudi Arabia, a country in Asia.

00:20.000 --> 00:21.500
Have you ever heard of a peninsula?

00:22.000 --> 00:27.000
A peninsula is land almost surrounded by water, but still connected to the mainland.

00:28.000 --> 00:34.000
Saudi Arabia sits on the Arabian Peninsula, one of the most famous in the world, amazing, right?

00:35.000 --> 00:38.000
Let's take a closer look at Saudi Arabia's neighbors.

00:38.500 --> 00:46.000
Saudi Arabia is surrounded by many countries, Egypt to the west across the Red Sea, Jordan and Iraq to the north,

00:46.500 --> 00:51.000
Iran and Kuwait to the east, and Yemen and Oman to the south.

00:52.000 --> 00:58.000
Its central location has made it an important trade hub for thousands of years.

00:59.000 --> 01:02.000
Let's look at how other places are unique.

01:02.500 --> 01:09.000
Saudi Arabia is famous for its vast deserts, like the Rubalkali, but Brazil has lush rainforests,

01:09.500 --> 01:13.000
and Switzerland is known for snowy Alps mountains.

01:14.000 --> 01:18.000
Every country's geography shapes how people live and what they do.

01:19.000 --> 01:23.000
Countries depend on each other for trade, knowledge and support.

01:23.500 --> 01:26.000
This is called global interdependence.

01:27.000 --> 01:32.000
They work together to solve problems like protecting the environment and promoting peace.

01:33.000 --> 01:40.000
Organizations like the United Nations and the World Trade Organization help make this cooperation possible.

01:41.000 --> 01:45.000
Saudi Arabia plays an important role in these global efforts.

01:46.000 --> 01:53.000
The world is full of amazing diversity, and every country, including Saudi Arabia, contributes something special.

01:53.500 --> 01:56.000
Keep exploring and you'll discover how we're all connected.
