WEBVTT

00:00.000 --> 00:22.000
In this video, we will take you through the steps of selecting a sound to add it to your sprite.

00:22.000 --> 00:27.000
Let's begin. Choose a sprite that you wish to add a sound to.

00:27.000 --> 00:36.000
If you are unfamiliar with how to choose a sprite, see deleting a sprite, adding a sprite, and adding a backdrop videos for more information.

00:36.000 --> 00:45.000
Some sprites will come with their own sound, which can be found by selecting the sprite you wish to add a sound to and clicking on the sounds menu above the block palette.

00:45.000 --> 00:50.000
Sound associated with your sprite will appear in the menu to the left side of your screen.

00:50.000 --> 00:56.000
To select a different sound, go to choose a sound in the bottom left corner of the sounds menu.

00:56.000 --> 00:59.000
Select the magnifying glass icon.

00:59.000 --> 01:02.000
This will take you to the Scratch sounds library.

01:02.000 --> 01:10.000
You can scroll through all of the sounds, search for a sound using the search bar or select a category from the top of the menu to find a sound.

01:10.000 --> 01:16.000
You can test any sound by hovering over the play button in the top right corner of the sound.

01:16.000 --> 01:23.000
At the sound that you would like to code by left clicking on it, the sound that you selected will appear in the left hand menu.

01:23.000 --> 01:28.000
Under the sounds tab located above the box palette. Thanks for watching!
